BARGE CRUISING LIMITED

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Your cruise price is inclusive of the following:

 

*Accommodations with private shower

*Morning coffee and afternoon tea

*Breakfast

*Excursions and entry fees

*Luncheon

*Private transfers to and from Actief (from specified meeting point)

*Dinner

*All bar drinks and table wines

*Use of bicycles

 

Cruise price does not include:

Air transportation, airport taxes, health or accident insurance, trip cancellation, optional hot air balloon flights and other activities not stipulated herein, special vintages, items of a personal nature such as laundry, purchases of gratuities for the crew.

 

Gratuities

If you are satisfied with the service on board, onboard gratuities are recommended in the region of 5%

 

Payments:

1. Individual Bookings:

A deposit of $750 US per person is payable at the time of booking. The balance is payable 120 days prior to departure date. A signed booking form is required at the time of departure. If not available at that time, all other passenger information must be completed and returned to Barge Cruising Limited 30 days prior to departure.

2. Charter Bookings:

To charter the entire vessel a deposit of 25% of the entire charter cost is payable at the time of booking. The balance is payable 120 days prior to departure date. A signed booking form is required at the time of departure. If not available at that time, all other passenger information must be completed and returned to Barge Cruising Limited 30 days prior to departure.

 

Cancellations:

Cancellations must be made in writing to Barge Cruising Limited. No refunds are payable to unused portions of any cruise.

 

Cancellation Charges

1. Individual Bookings:

More than 120 days prior to departure we will deduct $150 from your deposit to cover administration costs.

Between 90 - 120 days, the entire deposit

Less than 90 days, the entire cruise cost

 

2. Charter Bookings

Deposits are non-refundable.

Up to 120 days prior to departure, deposits may be applied towards individual bookings.

Less than 120 days prior to departure, no refund.

 

Reservation of Rights

Barge Cruising Limited reserves the right to:

1.Cancel any itinerary in whole or in part

2.Make alteration(s) to any itinerary as it deems necessary or desirable

3.Refuse to accept or retain as a member of a tour any person at any time

 

Waterway Closure

In the event that the river is deemed un-navigable due to drought, storms, floods, repairs or other events which result in conditions unsafe for navigation the following conditions will apply:

 

1.If navigation is suspended passengers will continue to be accommodated on board Actief. Regular excursions will continue to be made, with cruising to be continued as soon as possible.

2.Barge Cruising Limited reserves the right to reverse cruise routes if necessary. The Captain's judgement on any action or inaction is considered final.

 

No Liability And Force Majeure

The Passenger understands and agrees that Barge Cruising Limited is not liable or responsible for the following:

1.Any personal injury, death, property damage or loss occasioned by theft, vandalism, fire, water, weather conditions, explosion or any cause whatsoever, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, or for any loss of any kind or nature arising out of or in connection with the acts or omissions, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable or any loss of whatever kind or nature arising out of or in connectin with the acts or omissions whether or not intended, or any third party, regardless of the relationship, if any, between such third party and Actief.

2.Any condition that is beyond the control of Barge Cruising Limited, including but not limited to Acts of God, strikes, lockouts, work stoppages, riots, government acts, terrorism, criminal activity, passenger illness, repairs or barge repairs; and

3.Any additional expenses incurred by the Passenger as a result of any delay or failure of and/or by the contractors of any and all services connected with the specific booking; and

4.Any loss sustained by the Passenger as a result of any cancellation, delay, advancement or postponement of any tour.

 

Release

The Passenger shall sign a 'Booking From' stating that the Passenger has read, understands and agrees to the terms and conditions contained in this Notice and Agreement. A group shall be considered as 'The Passenger' and the signature of one member of the group shall serve as the signature of all the members of the group.
