We can organise different cruises to suit different parties. We do not reserve special dates for certain cruises, prefering to be more flexible. We look at what you want, together with available dates, and if we can do it we will!
Heritage and Antiques Cruise

Antiques enthusiasts can expect to have a wonderful time aboard an Actief antiques cruise. As well as having the chance to discover much of the history and traditions connected with the Thames Valley, you will have the opportunity to learn about, shop 'til you drop for, and generally enjoy a wonderfully varied range of antiques. Witty and knowledgeable specially invited antiques experts will sometimes join you for dinner and talk to you about their work. Charter groups may also have the opportunity to coincide their cruise with a visit to southern England's largest antiques fair, held at Ardingly. With over 1700 stalls in one location and attracting visitors from all over England and the continent, this is a truly amazing spectacle - see bottom of page for further details.
Gardens - available for Charter on any departure date in 2008.
(Chelsea Flower Show - coincides with 18th May 2008 departure Hampton Court Palace Flower Show - coincides with 6th July 2008 departure)

England, 'that green and pleasant' land whose temperate climate allows a long tradition of renowned garden expertise from medieval herb and Elizabethan knot gardens, to state of the art horticulture exhibited at such world renowned shows as Chelsea and Hampton Court Palace. Our gardens cruise has been carefully designed to reflect this rich history and the combination of luxurious Actief, the beautiful river and stunning gardens will ensure a memorable holiday.
Family Cruise by Charter on any date in 2008
Family orientated cruises aboard Actief incorporate the most comprehensive package in barging of tours appealing to younger guests. These include a visit to Legoland, a major family attraction (older guests may choose to visit Cliveden instead) and depending on availability a visit to the Puppet Barge, a floating theatre where puppets act out amazing European fairy tales. There is a special programme at the River and Rowing Museum in Henley for children, whilst adults can pursue the normal tour. Finally, there is a family picnic and afternoon punting on the river Cherwell in Oxford (a punt is a long flat bottom boat propelled thru' the water with a long pole - it's great fun, harder than it looks and everyone can have a go!). There really is something for the whole family to enjoy....
Golf Charters Itinerary - available for Charter on any departure date in 2008
A golf enthusiasts holiday par excellence! If you're a golfer, canyou imagine anything better than the luxury of a daily cruise throughout some of England's most relaxing and outstanding scenery, convivial company and gourmet cuisine, interruptedonly by first class golf at a renowned and varied selection of top courses. Actiefoffers a very special programme combining all these elements in one superb package. Actief, outstanding golf and you - a perfect partnership. As the barge meanders through sylvan countryside and covers the enormous distance of perhaps 13 miles in a day, you start to realise the genius of combining golf with barging. On the one hand you have the world's most frustrating, maddening game; on the other you have the most relaxing, least harried mode of transportation.
